Jose Bajo, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC

Jose Bajo, AGACNP-BC, FNP-BC, completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Creighton University and went on to receive his advanced degree from the University of South Alabama. Jose is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner board-certified in Adult Gerontology Acute Care and Family Medicine. He had worked with the IPA hospitalists when they provided coverage at Grand Island Regional Medical Center, and when the opportunity to work for IPA, he knew it would be a great fit for him.

Jose was born in Havana, Cuba, but his family migrated to Miami, Florida. He moved to Nebraska to attend college and decided “the good life” was a reason to stay here. He is married and his wife, Dagne, is also a Family Nurse Practitioner. They have three children – Jose, Damian, and Noah – and two dogs, Watson and Gael. During his ICU nurse training, he received several awards and obtained certifications in vascular access, critical care, and cardiac medicine.

In his free time, Jose likes to spend time with his family, lift weights, play video games, travel, and play sports. He also enjoys volunteering at the YMCA in Hastings coaching youth sports.
